Development Update - Version 0.2.0.7 Live

The rewrite of Deadvale's codebase is going well. I've completely rewritten all of the functionality from the existing demo and re-released the demo as version 0.2.0.7. Along with this update, I've added a new Mind Control feature, which is active in the demo, however it isn't required to complete the demo. I've done my best to preserve the original demo as much as possible and replicate things like NPC/character behavior accurately, so from the player's point of view, at least gameplay-wise, very little will be different.

What should be noticeable, at least in future releases, is the speed of loading/saving games, framerate improvements, and the ability to put much higher numbers of NPCs and other entities in a scene without performance issues.

Sadly, this rewrite was also intended to remove multiplayer, so that is no longer available in the demo.

The soundtrack has also been updated with new tracks composed by Julius Rimkevičius.

Finally, and this is the main purpose of the rewrite above all else - I've put a great deal of work into refining the editor tools in Unity to really streamline level creation and converting art assets into usable prefabs. The reason for this is to make it as easy as possible for others to collaborate on the project, for example artists or level designers are now able to import assets directly, and with a few quick steps, turn them into Characters, Equipment, Pickups, etc. My hope is this will help attract artists who may not be interested in dealing with code to the project.
